The 70th Independence Day Celebrations 

Independence Day

The Indian Independence day is celebrated each year on August 15 from 1947. We the family of Little Flowers are very patriotic and celebrate it every year. Here is the update of this year's independence day's celebration.



The celebrations at school

This week there were many celebrations and contests held for the students like 

The Patriotic Song Competition

The winners list-
First prize to the Topaz Group
Second prize to the Ruby Group
Third prize to the Sapphire Group

The Essay writing competition

There was a competition held about the patriotic view of the students and their gratitude towards the sacrifice of the soldiers.

IX - Srishti Srinath
X- Surabhi .B.S

There was also a celebration held in the school premises. There were patriotic speeches, dances, songs and dramas held for all the students to enjoy.

There were many other events too. But the one that took the trophy was the Parade!

The Red Ants are famous for their band and march-past troop. The school march-past and band team participated in the State level Independence day parade. There were three days of vigorous practice along with the civil defense contingents and the police band. And all the hard work finally paid off!

WE ARE TRULY LUCKY TO HAVE SUCH AN AMAZING BAND AND MARCH-PAST TROOP! WE SHOULD THANK OUR SCHOOL FOR IT!!

The OSA Fest

  
     The OSA

                  The Old Students' Association or OSA for short formed by the old students of our school to keep in touch [after all, who wouldn't want to?] had already come up with various out-of-the-box ideas like the Excelsior to begin with had come up with the best idea ever - to host an intra school fest! Here are the brief descriptions of all the events held-

Gully Cricket
                         The thrill of being in the stadium with a cheering crowd is a dream come true for everyone, whether you were born for cricket or just inspired by Laagan. This match was amazing and will be remembered by all of us!

Second prize- Class IX B 
Third prize- Class VIII D

Second prize- Class  X A
Third prize- Class IX A


Antyakshari
                   Baithe Baithe kya kare, karna hai kuch kaam, shuru karo Antyakshari, leke Prabhu ka naam! It was exciting match where even the audience felt the exciting thrill that prevailed!

Third prize to Ananthlakshmi and group

Paper Art
                    Keeping up the spirits of fun and being eco-friendly at the same time! Perfect combo.



Cooking without Fire
                    A tribute to all foodies and aspiring chefs. Just the aroma too could fill your stomach!


Solo Dance 
                     The art of Dance is promoted here and thereby encouraging young India to learn the age old art.


The Voice of LFPS
                    A battle between the best singers of the school, aiming too find a signature and amazing and unique voice!

Treasure Hunt
                   A riveting contest, totally amazing where the selected students were to run across the campus in search of some unknown treasure! How exciting!

Third prize to Srishti Srinath, Riya and Pooja

Aircrash
                     Think you deserve a parachute to escape from a crashing aeroplane? Then you better have a reason! This contest helps bring out the reasoning skills and speech skills of the student.

Dumb Charades
                    Hindi? English? One word? No two? Well this game which is enjoyed in every free period is truly the best competition one can think of!
